Network Assessment Subscription Overview

Based on the ongoing requirements of financial institutions and other customers to validate the security environment of their vendors, Dovetail uses a continuous assessment approach.

We have arranged for an independent firm to perform regular network assessments. The repeated assessments allow us to continuously extend and improve our security and network environment while providing customers with ongoing assurance and confidence in Dovetail.

What will be in the report?

Each individual assessment report will be produced to contain the findings of the assessment performed during that assessment period. Each report will be authored by the independent testing company, and will be provided to Dovetail Network Assessment Subscribers.

Typical Schedule Includes:

• External Network vulnerability scan of Internet facing hosts
• Network topology and device configurations
• Firewall configuration and logging
• IDS configuration and logging
• Firewall configuration and logging
• Network Topology changes affecting security of hosts, applications or devices
• Host security assessment to validate appropriate patch levels, OS hardening and security configurations
• Network Topology changes affecting security of hosts, applications or devices
• Shared infrastructure service security configurations: SMTP, POP3/IMAP, DNS, Web servers
• Internal Network Vulnerability assessment and security review; includes security operations review, security policy review and comprehensive review of internal network devices and systems infrastructure.

When, and how will the reports be available?

At the end of each period the Assessment reports will be made available via the Dovetail web site Assessment Area in a special Subscribers Only area. Registered users that have subscribed will be notified via email when reports are available, and they will be able to view the reports online.

What is the cost?

The subscription billed annually per subscribing organization ($500 in 2010), and provides access to the the current set of reports. 

How do I subscribe?

Email us at sales@dovetailinternet.com. If you have not already setup a dovetailinternet.com site account, register your email address and then proceed on to the subscription form where you will verify the billing information.

You will receive an invoice after signing up, and your access will be enabled upon remittance.
